Healthcare Grant Funded Employer Trainings

Diversity and Cultural Competency in the Health Care Workplace

What is cultural competence? To be culturally competent does not mean being an “expert” on every distinct ethnic and social group we serve. It means serving our diverse patients with respect, understanding and accommodation for special needs that may be related to culture. This training will provide you with the opportunity to learn effective strategies for communicating across cultures to more effectively serve our growing diverse client base.

Supervisory Training for the Health Care Professional

Recent studies show that people do not leave jobs, they leave their supervisor.  The primary reason for leaving their supervisor is lack of appreciation. This two-part training will cover Coaching and Delegating and Difficult Conversations and Listening and Recognition. This training will provide supervisors across all levels with valuable insight and practical tips on creating more dependable and efficient teams in the workplace.

Safety Begins with Me – Safety for the Health Care Setting

On-the-job injuries and safety concerns are key factors contributing to the 40-70 percent employee turnover rate currently undermining efforts to meet the rising demand for health care workers. This training will teach front line employees how to nurture a safety culture within their workplace where they can take personal responsibility for their safety as well as the safety of others.
