Ten students in the Job Growers Health Care Grant’s Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) class at Chemeketa Community College will be more than half way through their two-year program at the end of spring term. These students are, from front row and left to right:  Dakota Paden, Stephanie Mott, Teresa Mumey, Joan Levanger, Whitney O’Reilly, Susana Cervantes, Ronda Murdock, David Rivers, Dahren Chaparro, and Bill Larson.

Several students sent comments to Health Care Grant Coordinator Leslie Hayase to express their appreciation for the financial aid from Job Growers to pursue the nursing program. Here are some excerpts:

“Job Growers has given me the opportunity to come one step closer to completing my dream of becoming a nurse.”

“I am a mother of six....by having the Job Growers grant my family and I are not worried about my college tuition and many other expenses...”

“Without this grant, I would not be able to afford to go to school full-time and still pay my bills and raise a family.”

“Job Growers is a wonderful organization and they truly are about helping people.”

Job Growers wishes the class the best of luck finishing up the first year and continuing on to a successful second year and graduation!
